After fifteen! 15! hours of flying we arrived at Ben Gurion Airport outside of Tel Aviv. The weather was balmy (if not warm).
Walter Zanger, tourguide, met us at the airport and led us to Jerusalem. We went around the city to Mount Scopus for a brief welcome ceremony as the sun set over the city.
We have with us one honeymooning couple, three people who have been in Israel before (two of them more than 30 years ago, and one traveled with us on our first Adat Shalom trip approximately 15 years ago). This is the first time for everyone else.
