Day 2	Tuesday	20 July	Arrive in Israel. Overnight in Tel Aviv.
Day 3	Wednesday	21 July	The Seacoast; Jaffa and the market; Tel Aviv city; Eretz Israel Museum. Overnight in Tel Aviv.
Day 4	Thursday	22 July	Caesarea (facing east or facing west); Megiddo (the Land Bridge between Asia and Africa); Atlit (Aliah Bet) and/or Ein Hod (artists's village). Overnight in Haifa.
Day 5	Friday	23 July	Rosh HaNikra; Zippori (Mona Lisa of the Galilee); Kabbalat Shabbat at Har Halutz. Overnight in Kibbutz Nof Ginnosar.
Day 6	Saturday	24 July	Shabbat. Overnight in Kibbutz Nof Ginnosar.
Day 7	Sunday	25 July	Zefat and Malkiyya part of the "Good Fence" with Lebanon; Banias (headwaters of the Jordan); explore the Golan Heights in jeeps to learn about the history of the wars with the Syrians; inner tubes on the Jordan. Overnight in Kibbutz Nof Ginnosar.
Day 8	Monday	26 July	The Jordan Valley; Beit Shean (the largest Roman/Byzantine city uncovered in the Middle East); Beit Alfa (one of the earliest kibbutzim - with a fascinating mosaic of the Zodiac); Jericho (the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world); go up to Jerusalem Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 9	Tuesday	27 July	Jerusalem (I): Visit the model of the ancient city and explore the modern city from mountain-top lookouts. Afternoon tree planting at Hadassah forest; Yad VaShem. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 12	Wednesday	28 July	Jerusalem (II): Walk Jewish Quarter; Afternoon at the Shrine of the Book (housing the Dead Sea Scrolls) and the Israel Museum. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 10	Thursday	29 July	Participate in an archaeological dig at Beit Guvrin-Tel Maresha. Cross the northern Negev and eat dinner at Mamsheet Farm on our way to overnight in Ein Boqeq on the Dead Sea.
Day 11	Friday	30 July	Early morning climb Massada and then take mud baths and "swim" in the Dead Sea. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 13	Saturday	31 July	Shabbat services in Jerusalem. Free day. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 14	Sunday	1 August	Jerusalem (III): Explore Muslim and Christian Jerusalem. Afternoon at Neot Kedumim (a 550 acre Biblical Landscape Reserve).
Day 15	Monday	2 August	Departure. Arrive in LA and travel by special bus to Temple Adat Shalom that same day.

Rabbis Deborah Prinz and Mark Hurvitz, spiritual leaders of Temple Adat Shalom of Poway and Congregation Etz Chaim of Ramona, invite you to join them on a unique Intergenerational Tour of Israel. The trip offers an "on-site" fun opportunity for your family to grow in understanding and appreciation of the excitement of Israel. Both Rabbi Prinz and Rabbi Hurvitz have extensive experience and knowledge of Israel, having lived there and led previous tours.
Walter Zanger, an ordained Reform Rabbi and a licensed Israeli Master Guide, will guide our trip. Rabbi Zanger's passionate guiding springs from his years of learning about the land, people and history of Israel as well as his keen and perceptive insights into Judaism. In addition to his work as a tour guide, Rabbi Zanger hosts the archaeology spots on the television show "Hello Jerusalem."
